A quirkyex-police station that still boasts its original cells can be snapped up for just £95,000. The unusual property, known as Old Police Station, holds Grade II listed status and previously functioned as the local officers' base.
While it retains four authentic cells, estate agents suggest the building could be transformed into a spacious six-bedroom family home. The interiorfeatures office areas, a kitchen and lavatory facilities, whilst three outdoor courtyards offer pleasant spaces for relaxation.
Remarkably, one of the former cells now even serves as a toilet. Located in Dolgellau, Wales, the property is marketed by Walter Lloyd Jones & Co, according to Luxury Property News.

Initially advertised in April 2024 for £195,000, the asking price has been dramatically reduced by £100,000. The estate agents describe it by saying: "Old Police Station is a handsome Grade II Listed property of traditional stone construction under a slated roof.
"Offering deceptively spacious accommodation, which has been used as offices during recent years. The property is in very good order with gas-fired central heating throughout.
"Being the former town Police Station, the property retains the four police cells, three of which still have the original cell doors with inspection hatches.
"Although being sold as seen, any buyer may wish to explore the opportunity of turning the property into a home or similar. It should be noted that the vendor will not be exploring a change of use and will be sold as commercial office space.
"The accommodation comprises an entrance lobby, main hallway, three ground floor offices and four former cells (one currently a toilet), first floor landing, five further offices, kitchen and toilet.
"Externally, there are three courtyards. The property would suit a variety of uses - however, these would all be subject to change of use/planning permission."
Dolgellau is, according to the visitwales website, a "dark-stoned market town dotted with independent cafes, shops and pubs". The site says: "There are over 230 houses in Dolgellau identified on urban conservation lists - the highest concentration for any town in Wales.
From the Quakers to the growth of the chapels, from the remnants of the woollen industry to the gold that is still hidden under nearby hills - this extremely pretty town is full of architectural treasures that can be discovered on foot."
Since 1992, thousands of people have descended every July to enjoy the Sesiwn Fawr. It is a bilingual music festival that attracts some of the Welsh music scene’s biggest artists, as well as artists from around the world.
